UPHOLSTERY AND REDESIGN
Sophie started upholstery 15 years ago, while living in France and working full-time as a marketing-communication manager. She took many evening classes and learnt the French traditional technique of upholstery using jute webbing, burlap, horsehair, hand stitches… From her home based studio in Princeton, she rebuilds and redesigns unique pieces of furniture, accent chairs using either timeless linen or boho-chic fabrics. As she loves sharing her passion, Sophie also regularly runs upholstery workshops through the Princeton Adult School.
HIGH QUALITY LINENS FROM FRANCE
In addition to the handicraft activity, Tacks and Fabrics imports a large selection of jacquard woven kitchen and table textiles from in France (tea towels, table runners, tablecloths…). The collection is highly representative of the French country Style or Art de Vivre, combining elegance, creativity and tradition. Her products come from Provence, North of France or Cholet, all famous historic places for textile manufactories. You can purchase Sophie’s linen on the Princeton Farmers Market, on the Stockton Market as well as during the Oh-la-la! Events.
